Houston Racquet Club | 2011

This was a special year because it was the first time we also got local support from our friends at River Oaks Country Club. How did it start? During a casual conversation at a CMAA luncheon at the Coronado Club, Sonny McDaniel mentioned that I build a gingerbread house for MD Anderson every year. The next thing you know, friends like Casey Newman, Maria McGinity, Darrin Aoyama, Andrea Huerta, and Joe Bendy offered their gingerbread displays. We have grown ever since, and so have the donations. HRC President Roni Atnipp presented the check. And I just had to hug Joe Bendy. What a great way to make a difference!
